Cranberry Chicken

 2-5 chicken breasts,
 1 pkg of onion soup mix
 1 can of whole cranberries 
 1/2 of small bottle of russian dressing
Mix ingredients and spread over clean chicken in a roasting pan. Pre heat oven to 350. Bake covered for 45 min to 1 hour depending on size of chicken

Breads

Whole Wheat Orange Ginger Scones
1 cup whole wheat flour 1/2 cup oat bran 1 tbsp sugar 2 tsp baking powder Grated orange peel from 1 med. orange 1/2 tsp dried ground ginger 3 tbsp non-hydrogenated margarine 1/2 cup skim milk 1 egg Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. In a large bowl, combine flour, oat bran, sugar, baking powder, grated orange peel and ginger. Using a fork work in the margarine evenly into the flour mixture. In a small bowl whisk the egg and milk and add to the dry mix. Cover baking sheet with parchment paper and drop scone batter onto the sheet by the spoonful to make apprx. 10 scones. Bake for 12 minutes & enjoy!

Cold Veggie Pizza
Fabulous recipe for getting kids to eat their veggies but Adults love it too and it just disappears as an appetizer or snack.
Open and spread out 1 package of  Pillsbury Crescent rolls, press edges together and bake as per package, let cool.
Mix package of softened Philadelphia cream cheese, 1/4 cup mayonnaise and 1 tsp dry dill weed, spread on the Pillsbury crust. Top with finely chopped  tomato, broccoli, red onion, and sweet peppers ( red, green, yellow or orange) and a sprinkling of grated cheese.
     Cut in small squares and enjoy

Warm Swiss Almond Dip
1 1/2 c grated swiss cheese
1  250gr pkg of cream cheese
1/3 cup mayo or sour cream
1/3 cup slivered Almonds
2 green onions chopped
Mix and bake at 350 for 10 min.   Spread on crackers

Mushroom Log Appetizer
Using Pillsbury crescent roll package, separate the pkg into 4 squares .
 Mix 1/2 pkg of Philadelphia cream cheese and drain and mix in 1 small can of chopped mushrooms, blend till smooth and spread over the roll square.   Roll it up from the long side to form a log.  Slice into 1/2 " slices and leave standing.    Bake according to instructions on roll package.     Enjoy warm       Judy

Jazz Up Chocolate Frosting
If you love the taste of chocolate peanut butter cups, you can recreate that flavor by adding 1 tablespoon or so of peanut butter to regular chocolate frosting.

Pecan Pie
3 eggs
1 cup brown sugar
1 tbsp organic all purpose flour
1 cup organic corn syrup
2 tbsp melted orgnic butter
1 tsp vanilla extract (preferably natural vanilla bean)
11/2 cups organic pecan halves
1 deep dish organic pie shell

Beat the eggs in a medium sized bowl and mix in flour,
sugar, corn syrup, butter and vanilla.
Pour the mixture into a thawed pie shell. Bake in
preheated oven (350 degrees F/180 degrees C)
for 50 - 55 minutes. Enjoy!      Helen

BeSt BaNaNA BrEaD !!
1/2 cup butter or sunflower oil 2 eggs, beaten 1 cup sugar 1 cup mashed ripe bananas 2 cups all purpose flour 1/4 tsp salt 1 tsp baking soda or 3 tsp baking powder 1/3 cup hot water 3/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional) -Heat oven to 325 degrees F -Melt butter adn add to sugar in a large bowl -Add in beaten eggs and bananas, blend until smooth -Add flour, baking soda and salt -Stir in hot water and walnuts Fill 2 small loaf pans or makes 2 dozen cupcakes. Bake loaf pans 60 minutes or until wooden toothpick comes out clean. Bake cupcakes 10-15 minutes or until wooden toothpick comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes and remove from pan. Make-Your-Own Gourmet Popcorn
For a cheesy flavor, grate hard cheese like Cheddar, Parmesan or Romano, over hot popcorn. For a spicy taste, sprinkle taco or chili seasoning-mix on top.

Rice Cereal Treats
Kids love these tasty treats. Try this shortcut method for making them: Simply mix rice cereal with marshmallow cream. Then grease the pan and press the mixture into it. Put into the refrigerator.

Bananna Pops
Make healthy frozen treats for your kids. Poke the handle end of plastic spoons into bananas and freeze them for about half a day. They will make a fun (and good) after-school snacks

Beverages

Make Anise and Lemon Tea Mix
Blend 3 tablespoons of anise seeds, 2 cups of tea leaves and 1/2 cup of grated dried lemon peel and store in an airtight container. To serve, put 1 teaspoon of tea into 6 to 8 ounces of boiling water and allow it to steep for 5 minutes.ck.

Make Your Own Café au Lait
In a large microwave-safe mug, heat 1 to 2 ounces of regular or skin milk. (You also can use canned skin milk.) Then pour hot coffee into the hot milk. Add a dash of cinnamon and a sweetener.

When You Deep-Fry
To stop grease from spattering everywhere, put several white potato slices or 1/2 inch-cubes into the grease while frying. This really helps to prevent a cooking mess.
